For those that cannot make it to the Sunderland event, we want to do a small party in Somerset on the evening of the legal ceremony

1. Our journey to this day has been shaped by seasons of profound change. In a period of deep personal loss, our initial desire to wed quickly (although engaged since 2023) was born from a wish to cherish those we love most.
However, time and reflection have allowed us to realize that a celebration of this magnitude deserves a foundation of peace rather than haste. We are grateful for the delay, as it ensures our union begins in a season of healing and intentional joy.
2. In the spirit of love and authenticity, our ceremony will be conducted using gender-neutral language. We kindly ask our friends and family to refer to Darkmane by their legal name only. Your support in honoring this journey means the world to us as we become partners for life.
From how we first met, to how we spent the rest of our lives together
Our story is actually a very weird one, at the time Darkmane was running a discord server called Protogen Beepposting - a discord server focused around protogens and making silly jokes about the species - Protogens are a species within the furry fandom that are basicially half robot, half organic, basically think of a wolf with a robotic visor and you have the general ideas, however, when we met I had just set up this server and was looking for admins, Michael was one of the people who applied, and after accepting him, we got to talking and hit things off.
You know what, here I'd like to put some messages from the day we got together, as I find this incredibly ironic.
Darkmane: Sounds good to me. I'd love to meet this year, but I doubt that being possible right now.
Michael: Probably not. You live down south, I live up north.
Darkmane: Hm, planes and trains are a thing. It might mean I need a hotel, but we could make it work, I'd say.
See I told you it was ironic? After a 12 hour coach ride and taking a risk that I might end up murdered or worse (I'm joking!) - I headed up to Sunderland to meet Michael, all the way from Taunton - we had obviously exchanged photos and talked multiple times on call by this point!
Though, I want to point out how I captioned this on Facebook the day we met. "Oh my god guys, I met Ed Sheeran at McDonald’s!"
